The following descriptions are examples of the skills and qualifications of typical IDC positions. Please see Current Openings for our available positions.

Senior Design Architects
Candidates must have a Bachelors of Architecture degree, an architectural license, and significant experience with industrial or commercial projects including: business development, programming, design, and construction document administration. Responsibilities will include proposals and sales presentations, and leadership in the programming, schematic design, and design development on medium and large projects. Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal, graphic and writing skills; AutoCAD R-14 design skills will be preferred but not required. They will be well versed in current and historical design theory and processes with strong proven conceptual design ability. We are seeking creative, expressive and proactive individuals with proven ability to work successfully with clients.

Interior Designers
Responsibilities include management, design and implementation on all phases of interior for industrial corporate and commercial projects. BS in Interior Design with 10+ year's experience on high level design oriented projects preferred. Must be capable of working within a team environment on technically demanding projects. Experience with high performance finishes and AutoCAD R-14 skills preferred.

Mechanical Engineers
Responsibilities include developing scope of work, fees and manpower planning; direct design team in all phases of projects from conception to completion. Experience with HVAC (wet side and dry side) design. Must be capable of working within a strong team environment. BSME with 12+ year's experience and PE required. Cleanroom experience preferred.

Chemical Engineers
Responsibilities include developing scope of work, fees, and manpower planning. Direct design team in all phases of project from conception to completion. Experience with specialty gases, ultrapure systems, chemical handling, process piping, and RO/DI systems. BSChE with 10+ years experience; prefer PE.

Design Project Managers
Responsible for the management of multi-disciplined engineering design projects, from conception to successful completion, budget, schedule, manpower, contract administration, client satisfaction, design team conflicts and project close out. Must possess strong communication and coordinating skills. Extremely important to implement design/build philosophy. Semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or food processing project management experience required. BS in Engineering and PE preferred

Construction Management
Responsible for the management of projects, budget, schedule, manpower, contract administration, estimating, and the successful completion of projects in the range of $100 million to $500 million. Must be capable of working independently, with excellent decision making and problem resolution skills. Must possess strong coordination skills with design side. Extremely important to implement design/build philosophy. Must be capable of working with a strong team environment. BSCM or Engineering and PE preferred.

Electrical Engineer
Accept responsibility for technical issues for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments. Low/Medium voltage, power distribution, lighting, and special systems. Maintain contact with key professional groups and local code authorities. Will manage a group of design staff and must be capable of working with a strong team environment. 12+ years and professional registration required.

Equipment Installation
Semiconductor experience required. Design and implementation of semiconductor tool installation services. Knowledge of multiple tool sets and process equipment used to support the production of integrated circuits. Responsible for layout development and installation scheduling. BS in Engineering with 7+ years experience supporting semiconductor fabrication facilities. Will be responsible for turnkey design/build contracts.

Industrial Engineers
Responsible for facilities plant layout and operations. Configuration and sizing, capacity planning and modeling/simulation, semiconductor equipment layouts, utility matrix, data communication, integration, people/material flow, microcontamination and material handling systems. BSIE with 10+ years experience in microelectronics industry required.

Information Specialist
Qualified candidates will have a BS in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems and a minimum of 10 years experience in Information Technology. Experience should include: router/hub/switch equipment, Ethernet 802 2/3, TCP/IP, Novell 4.X, client/server technology, WIN95/NT, UNIX, CAD, database technology, programming languages, software engineering methodologies, PC products, AS/400, server products, frame relay, intranet implementation, PBX, video/data conferencing and ISDN.

Instrumentation and Controls Engineers
Responsible for writing specifications for DCS, PLC's, SCADA, test software, simulation and modeling of processes and controls. Develop system architecture. Familiarity with DOS, UNIX, and OS operating sytems. 10+ years experience in automation and system integration. BS in engineering discipline with PE preferred.

Life Safety Systems Engineer
Demonstrated working knowledge of UFC, NFPA, NEC, and UBC codes and standards. Experience with system integration, control systems (supervised class A/B, style 7, ladder logic, and discrete and analog I/O PLC systems. Hardware and software as well as preparation of construction documents. 5+ years in fire alarm, hazardous gas/liquid leak detection. Requires a BSEE or BSEET. Prefer PE.

Project Controls
Implements project control systems for design and construction projects. Set up basic cost reports, budget reports, job cost reports, budget variance, change orders and forecasting. Responsible for planning and construction schedule, earned value calculations and percent completion reports. Requires Primavera, P3 for Windows, Microsoft Excel, and business graphics software. BS in Construction Management or Engineering with 10+ years experience in design/build industry.

Structural Engineers
Responsibilities include developing scope of work, fees and manpower planning. Direct design team in all phases of projects from conception to completion. Experience with steel and concrete building systems. BSCE or MSCE with PE and 12+ years experience in light industrial, commercial, institutional background.

Civil Engineers
Responsibilities include the development and design of civil systems with follow-up through construction, supervision of project staff, communication with clients, design staff and contractors. PE or ability to obtain PE immediately and a BS in Civil Engineering is required. Candidate should have 6 to 10 years' experience in civil engineering design for commercial, light industrial and institutional buildings. Experience with AutoCAD R-14, earthwork, road design, storm water management, utility analysis and design is preferred. Ability to travel is a necessity.

Telecommunications Engineer
Will design data and voice communications systems, also cable plants. Qualifications include experience in network administration, network topologies, routers/concentrators/bridges, protocols, media evaluation, network loading analysis, netware, client-server, EIA/BiCSi standards. Requires BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
