Project Delivery Approach
IDCs successful project delivery approach is based on a "big
picture" view supported by technical expertise that complements
our clients capabilities. Highlights include:
Comprehensive Program Management. A systematic,
integrated management approach achieves overall performance
goals by looking at the total program, rather than just the
incremental analysis of individual project components.
Project Management. IDCs project management
systems, processes and tools facilitate reliable and cost-effective
project delivery to the client.
Work Coordination. We meet project milestones
within budget and schedule requirements through a systematic,
detailed work breakdown structure and effective oversight
of procurement and contractor services.
Integrated Project Controls. IDC applies a
customized project controls system so that projects are executed
within contractual requirements, furnishing timely cost and
schedule data for project tracking and analysis with thorough
documentation.
Modular Services. IDCs services are
available as separate components to meet specific client needs,
or as a comprehensive program for major projects.
Focus on Safety. "Safety First"
is not just a motto at IDC. Its the way we do business.
Quality Assurance. IDCs quality assurance
program is driven by our desire for continuous improvement.
Get on the Fast Track
IDCs specialty is successful fast-track project planning
to gain efficiencies and shorten the overall project schedule. We
implement fast-track projects by developing a work breakdown that
optimizes the sequence and duration of critical path activities.
For instance, we schedule and release design packages (drawings
and specifications) according to the work package breakdown and
the requirements of the construction schedule. This allows for significant
overlap in the design and construction schedules. Many design and
construction activities can occur concurrently with "float"
or a degree of latitude on duration to achieve better overall scheduling
efficiencies. Our project management focus is on the critical path
activities as these activities govern the total schedule duration.
