1998 Metals Architecture Design Award (Honorable Mention)
Presented by Metal Architecture magazine for the White Oak Semiconductor microelectronics complex near Richmond, Virginia.

1998 Top Fab Award
Presented by Semiconductor International magazine for the MiCRUS facility in Hopewell Junction, New York. MiCRUS is a joint venture between IBM Microelectronics and Cirrus Logic Inc. IDC did the design for the retrofit for this submicron facility that produces bipolar devices.

1998 Building Team Project of the Year Merit Award
Presented by Building Design & Construction magazine for the Fujitsu Microelectronics facility in Gresham, Oregon. This award recognizes the success of the project's fast-track project delivery. (IDC was part of a design/construct team called TDC.)

1998 Craftsmanship Award
Presented by the Washington Building Congress for tool hookup work performed for the Dominion Semiconductor facility in Manassas, Virginia. The annual Craftsmanship Awards are chosen from among hundreds of entries to recognize outstanding construction industry craftsmanship.

1998 Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute Design Award
This national design award for the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix was won by IDC affiliate Paragon Structural Design.

1998 Virginia AIA Excellence in Architecture Award
Presented for the White Oak Semiconductor microelectronics complex near Richmond, Virginia.

1998 "Food Plant of the Year" (Runner-Up)
Presented by Food Engineering Magazine for a Naturally Potatoes™ processing plant in Mars Hill, Maine designed by IDC.

1998 "Profiles of Excellence" Award
This award recognizes companies with outstanding employment environments related to compensation and benefits, incentives, training and education, community involvement, and safety/employee wellness programs.
