Microelectronics Facility
An advanced DRAM manufacturing facility with a 150,000-square-foot
Class 1 cleanroom. IDC provided complete design, services during
construction, tool installation design, and tool installation field
services during installation. We also assisted the client with industrial
engineering services including process tool layout, utility matrix
development and maintenance.
Dominion Semiconductor was a joint venture between IBM and Toshiba.
The facility was the first major fab to be built in the Eastern
United States in 12 years. In 2002 it was acquired by Micron Technology.
IDC has provided facilities services at this site since 1996, and
recently renewed a five-year contract for services including design
packages for sustaining work, self-perform construction, construction
management, tool installation, base build design, and planning and
layout. Services provided include:
